During March 2009 we entered the lead up event to the Clipsal 500, the Clipsal 500 Rally 09'. Entered as part of TEAM HDT, we were accompanied by HDT SV Owners, Peter & Sandy Chmpion, HDT PR man Ben with J.Cole on nav. not to mention HDT legends Phill & Lewis Brock. Entered in a field of many foriegn and exotic sportscars and the usuall plethora of Japanese AWD vehicles the HDT VE Retro cars certainly stood out from the pack, not to mention outperformed many of the seasoned campaigners in the feild. A great event to truly get a grasp on the diverse ability of these vehicles and to be able to punish and drive the cars at their limits was to good an oportunity to pass up.
